Stainless Steel Angle Bar & Channel: New Structural Section Stock

Zunkai Stainless Steel has introduced stainless steel angle bar and U channel sections to its product inventory, extending its offering beyond flat-rolled and tubular products into structural stainless steel sections. The new stock covers 304/304L and 316/316L grades in a range of sizes suitable for structural framing, architectural detailing, and industrial support systems.

Angle Bar Inventory

Stainless steel equal-leg angle bars are now stocked in sizes from 20×20×3 mm to 100×100×10 mm. These hot-rolled and solution-annealed sections are produced to ASTM A276/A484 (stainless steel bars and shapes) with dimensional tolerances per ASTM A484.

Smaller angles (20×20×3 mm through 50×50×6 mm) are available in both 304 and 316L, with standard length of 6 meters. Heavier sections (63×63×6 mm through 100×100×10 mm) are initially stocked in 304 grade, with 316L available on order for projects requiring the molybdenum-enhanced corrosion resistance of 316L.

Common applications for stainless steel angle bars include:

• Architectural support brackets and canopy framing where the stainless surface is left exposed
• Food processing equipment frames where carbon steel angles would require frequent repainting
• Chemical plant cable tray supports and instrument stand frames
• Marine and coastal structural connections where galvanized carbon steel angles have inadequate service life

U Channel Inventory

Stainless steel U channel (also called C channel) is stocked in sizes from 50×25 mm through 200×80 mm, in 304 and 316L grades. These sections provide a clean, paint-free framing solution for glass balustrade supports, equipment skids, and architectural feature elements where the channel profile is part of the visible design.

Standard length is 6 meters with saw-cut ends. Custom cutting to specified lengths is available using Zunkai's in-house cold saw, with a 2–3 day lead time beyond stock pull.

Processing and Availability

All stainless structural sections are supplied in solution-annealed and pickled condition with a matte gray surface. For architectural applications, Zunkai can arrange mechanical polishing (No.4, HL, or mirror finish) through its finishing partners, with lead times quoted on a per-order basis.

Minimum order quantity for angle and channel sections is 100 kg per size, with volume pricing applying above 500 kg per item line.
